Coleg Cambria

Formed in 2013, following three separate mergers from 2009, Coleg Cambria has rapidly established itself as a leading UK education provider. Estyn in February 2015 awarded the College the highest Estyn sector judgements of this inspection cycle, with both current performance and prospects for improvement at ‘excellent’. 

One of the largest colleges in the UK, the college has approximately 7,000 full time students, 20,000 part-time learners and many international links. Across its six sites Coleg Cambria offers a vast array of full-time and part-time courses including A Levels, GCSEs, BTECs, Welsh for Adults and Higher Education. Working in partnership with over 1,000 employers, the college also offers many Apprenticeship and Traineeship opportunities with strong links to local employment and is officially a Roatp provider.

Positioned on the border of North East Wales, the college offers world-class facilities including a Centre of Excellence for Engineering, 1,000 acre farm and animal care centre. Notable successes in 2016 included the opening of the new 6th Form Centre and University Centre at Deeside site and new major estate developments at Bersham and Northop.
